How to get loopy to import correct bpm & play it right?

I have been playing with a paid version of loopy pro for about a week and I am having all kinds of problems. Importing loops I have already created seems impossible most of the time. Loopy rarely gets the bpm correct making them impossible to play. No problem importing into BeatMaker and it detects the bpm perfectly every time. I’ve tried one shots and loops and have the same problem. I’ve also messed with the different settings and nothing fixes the issue.

Also setting the BPM using Triggers is also impossible because you loopy pro doesn’t allow something like 123.56 bpm. Instead this will be changed to 124 bpm and that messes things up as well. Loopy Pro does allow me to enter 125.56 manually, but not using triggers or gestures.

And something more. If Loopy does detect the bpm and everything plays as expected, I’ll save the session and leave loopy. Then when I come back and open loopy to play the loop, the loop is way out of wack.

My suggestion is to forget about the bpm and the time stretch etc., when importing any sound file and if it’s not a loop just play it.

Another problem I have is copying one shots or loops does not make a copy. Some settings are lost and all the gestures are gone as well. Why? I made a copy to make it easier to enter the data. The only thing I needed to change was the imported file (which loopy can’t import correctly), instead I have to start all over and recreate all the gestures! That takes a lot of time with this clumsy UI.

I paid a lot for this app, but the more I use it, the more I see I can’t use it like I had hoped. It’s fun to play with though and it’s a great idea. I just need something more stable.
